Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza on are the worst the enclave has seen since 2014, when Israeli forces killed 2,200 Palestinians, and Palestinian resistance fighters killed 72 Israelis. One recent Israeli strike alone made about 80 families homeless. As the deaths, injuries, and damage climb, Palestinian resistance groups launch rockets into Israel.
Even though Israel is about to go under the microscope of the International Criminal Court, it continues to defy international law by abusing the human rights of Palestinians. Why? It’s a mystery.
Many Jewish groups in America are sending mixed signals: YES, we want equality for Black Americans; NO, we do not want the same for Palestinians… and we’re using our power to procure U.S. policies that support Israel despite its systemic discrimination and violence.
